- Students to review the Win (Wates Innovation Network) portal and do a SWOT analysis of the portal (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (or improvements).
- Attend the 'Lunch and Learn with innovation Wates'
- Crowdsourcing collaborative working – Research new potential companies that Wates might want to showcase. Example: Search online for new businesses with sustainable innovations for the built environment

- Supervisor to invite Students to attend “Lunch and Learn Innovation” and to get invites email email innovation@wates.co.uk
OUTPUT
To produce a SWOT analysis of the Win Portal, to write up an overview of what you have learned from attending the “Lunch and Learn Innovation” event, and finally to produce 3 company showcase ideas. This should be completed on an MS Word document.
Students to attend a series of practical workshops demonstrating the latest tech (subbies and Consultants to support)

OUTPUT
Attend sessions booked by Supervisor.
Students to attend a series of practical workshops demonstrating the latest tech (cubbies and Consultants to support)
- 3D scanning – renovation/printing of houses, replacement components, and visualization of existing features.
- Drones – surveying (including difficult access, dangerous conditions, and thermal imaging), site security, site inspections, and virtual walkarounds
- Geo surveying – laser geo-scanning.
- Just-in-time construction.

Supervisor to arrange workshops to attend. Can contact Kawsar.abdi@Wates.co.uk for VR headsets (virtual walkarounds). 1 hour per session is recommended.
